Don't Give Away My Necklace!

by Oliver

My Necklace is Gone?
One thing I really like about being a blogging doggie is the swag. We get cool stuff and Tanner and I get to test it out and report back. That's fun.

Lots of the goodies are given away as prizes, and that's okay. We can't possibly keep all of it. But today Mom crossed the line over at All Things Dog Blog. She announced that she's giving away a cool necklace that we got from Freaky Dog People. Mom called it a bracelet, but I'm not too sure what that is. I think it looks like a necklace, and it's just about the right size for little 9 1/2 pound ME!

So, I'm on strike. No more blogging for me. If I have to give up my favorite prizes that I earned fair and square...well, that's just not fair. Could you guys tell mom to give me my necklace back? Pleeeeeze?

PAWS Pack # 74; That's Me!

by Oliver

Mom got a big surprise when she returned home from her overseas vacation. She learned that I had been accepted in the Dogs for the PAWS project and my painting was done. Me!

Annamarie "Missy" Johnson painted my portrait and you can see it all All Things Dog Blog or at the Dogs for the PAWS site. It's so beautiful that I'm proud it's me. You can even read the story of my adoption. I didn't come to live in this family by the most conventional route. Check it out!

Let's Go!

Concentrate.
I Have a Big Job Today
There's nothing like it. When I get outside I'm a new dog. I love the smells, sounds, sights and people I meet no matter where we go. Heading for Starbucks? No problem! Want to hike to Grandma's house; I'm in. Just don't leave me home to be bored and lonely. I need excitement too.

Even the stimulation of having to concentrate more when I carry the backpack is big fun for me. Ever heard of the concept called FLOW? I'm in the FLOW when I carry the backpack. I have to focus on walking smoothly, so the backpack doesn't sway. I like it to stay still and snug against my body. And when we arrive, I love the feeling of knowing I contributed. Mom always makes sure to thank me for helping. I love my walks!

Mom wrote an article on her blog today about different ways to give us dogs a new experience when we go out for a walk. We enjoy trying out new things, new places, new sights and smells. Hope you read it and try some with your pup. Enjoy!

It's Football Time!

by Oliver

Take My Picture, Please!
Tanner and I are very excited. Super Bowl Sunday is coming up in 2 weeks and mom is planning her own fun. We love all the friends mulling around eating snacks and stuff, but we also like playing with the ball. How about you?

Well, guess what? We can get our pictures taken playing football or even wearing silly costumes and join in mom's Super Dog Sunday Blog Hop. Tanner and I plan a competition to see whose pictures get more comments. Of course, I'll win. I've got that CGC thing behind my name. Doesn't that mean I win everything?

Anyway, I hope you'll join in the fun at our mom's blog hop. She created a webpage that tells all about it, so you can get all your questions answered. You can visit it here: Super Dog Sunday Blog Hop.  There's an explanation of how it works, photo tips and all kinds of helpful stuff that I don't really understand.

She even made up a 'badge' for it. Sounds sort of like a Boy Scout thing, but she says it's more like a sign to remind everyone about it. Here it is, and as mom always says, be sure to "Grab it." See you on February 6th.

Heads Up Boys; Mom's Secret Weapon is Free at All Things Dog Blog

by Oliver

Music=Snooze Time
Here she goes again, giving stuff away. Today mom announced that she'll be giving away a Through a Dog's Ear CD. You know those music CDs that put me to sleep by making me so relaxed. Their creator, Lisa Spector, sent us one to try and boy howdy, did it work. Now mom uses it whenever we have a storm or there is some excitement brewing. I call it naptime! If you don't want your mom to put you to sleep, don't let her read the post at All Things Dog Blog. Good luck!

by Tanner

What Do I Need to Know?
I think my mom is having a little fun with me over at All Things Dog Blog. Her post today, entitled "Date Me. Date My Dog", is a little scary. Is there something I should know?

Where's dad? Did I miss anything? Please tell me that everything is okay with our pack.

We're Here for Ya, Mom!

by Tanner

Our mom is injured and feeling a bit blue. She's trying to keep up with All Things Dog Blog, her household stuff and us, too. Oliver and I are busy trying to do our part to help.

I'll take out the trash and Fetch just about anything I can pick up. Oliver can make sure mom isn't lonely. I guess it's time to check out her post on dog chores again. C'mon Oliver. We've got work to do!

Do Your Dogs Love Storytime?

by Tanner

Storytime Yet?

Our mom is reading A Dog's Purpose right now and savoring every chapter. By that I mean that it's taking her furrever. She decided that since she's not too fast at reading novels (aren't there a million blog posts to write?), it might be good to get some help.

Enter mom's new friend Kristine Tonks, from Rescued Insanity. She has written a review of another book over at All Things Dog Blog. The title of the book is A Small Furry Prayer. Have you read it?

Mom's True Pet Blog Challenge Revealed

by Tanner
© Carrie Boyko

Mom is home from a long vacation....injured. We had a long talk and I learned that I'll not be getting my daily walks, at least not by her. Today I'll get to walk with my girl, Toni. Who knows what will happen tomorrow or the next day.

Today over at All Things Dog Blog, our mom took the Pet Blogger Challenge. She answered a bunch of questions that were also answered by lots of other pet bloggers. I don't really get all the lingo, but the bottom line is they all love keeping up with each other and supporting each other. That's nice I guess. I just wish some of them would come over and give me a walk. :(

Get well soon Mom!

Did She Say Blankies or Binkies?

I'm a Golden Retriever....you guys know that, right? I know I'm not the typical looking version, but my mom loves me. That's all that matters to me.

Today she's reminiscing about Xena, my packmate that we lost recently. Just like any other Retriever, Xena liked to carry things around in her mouth. It's a Retriever thing, I guess, but I never do it. No, not me!
