Let's Go to the Park!
Today my friend Oreo is here to tell us about the iPhone apps that are available to pets and their families. Without opposable thumbs, we really need your help to use this gadget for finding a dog park. Won't you download an app to help us have a fun weekend?

Check out the list of apps that are reported on today at All Things Dog Blog. There are all kinds of uses, including health, resources, GPS locaters, and the all important dog park locaters. See you at the park!

Happy Birthday to Me........

by Oliver

My First Day at Home
From 3 lbs. to 3 Years Old
I finally made it past the puppy years--no more "Isn't Oliver a cute puppy?" Now I'm a big boy! Even though I weigh 9 1/2 lbs now, I still can't catch Tanner. I keep trying, but my dish always looks smaller than his. :(

Oh well; I had a nice party today to celebrate my birthday tomorrow. Tanner and I called it Yappy Hour! LOL Xena joined in for a few nibbles and headed back to her nap. It's a senior citizen thing, I guess.

Tanner and I also celebrated with a romp at the dog park, something we never turn down. I met a bunch of new friends and they all asked about the "cookie" smell on us. The yummies from Bone Appetit were a special treat, for sure. We're looking forward to doing some serious shopping there real soon. Let's see....maybe Halloween treats? Note to self: Get a calendar and mark the shopping dates.

Check out my birthday pics at mom's post on All Things Dog Blog. I also got my trading card pic posted at Toki Poki; I love my card! Oh, and Mom even got me a birthday hat with fuzzy stuff on it...kinda babyish, but we still had a good time. G'nite!

Finding Dog Sports and Competitive Events

Get Organized About Feeding Us
Our mom is busy AGAIN, trying to get All Things Dog Blog even more organized. Just between you and us, she's sorta anal about making sure she has all sorts of information ready for you guys, and easy to find. It's true, though, she has got a lot of good dog stuff in her sidebar. We're sorta jealous, but don't really want to do all that work on our blog.

Today she's started this new Clipboard thingamajig. She says its like a symbol. Every time you see the clipboard, you'll know it has information on it to help you find something on her blog. Her first example with it is to show you where to find the sports activities and stuff like that. We like dog sports--mostly agility, obedience, dock diving, flyball, well you get it. Is going to the dog park a sport? We're really good at that; we do it almost every weekend.

Trust us, our blog will NEVER have clipboards. We're not planning on doing too much organizing either. As long as our meals are served on time, we'll consider that organized enough. Breakfast was great! Ya'll have a great day.

Party Time!

by Tanner
I'm four years old today. Seems like just yesterday I was born. We're having a big party today and doing ALL my favorite things. You can see my picture with my girl, Toni, if you go to All Things Dog Blog. We look so cute in our matching party hats.

I gotta go now. Mom's bringing out some of the yummies we made for the party. I don't want Oliver and Xena beating me to the yummies. First up are Pupsicles. Then we get ground beef medallions.

I played fetch and went swimming earlier. Oh, and don't forget the dog park. It was fun playing with Midas, Marmaduke, Bear, and lots of my other buddies. I'm gonna sleep good tonight. Ahhhh.

How Could we Live without our Dog Park?

by Xena
Being the eldest of the All Things Dog Blog crew, I get today's commentary. Mom's Dog Trainer columnist is helping out Gilly with some dog park problems. I guess dog park visits just don't come naturally to all dogs.

Tanner, Oliver and I are pretty friendly, and well, I guess we're confident too. We like meeting the people at the park and catching up with the dogs. Tanner plays tag and fetch and has races with some of them. Oliver mostly uses his nose. He looks like a miniature, 9 lb. hound dog when he's at the park--funny!

I just mosey around, saying hello to everyone and getting lots of good sniffs of all the visitors. Seems like a no-brainer to me, but apparently Gilly needs some help. We'd like to help Gilly sometime at our park. We're almost always there on Sunday mornings to see our regular gang--Midas, Marmaduke, Sherman, Seven, and a whole bunch more friends we see most every week. What d'ya say, Gilly, want to join us?

First Priority

by Xena
First things first, in this first post from 5 Minutes for Fido. All dogs--even me, a 13 1/2 year old senior citizen--need regular, exercise. I'll stick to walks, but my two younger housemates like running, agility, biking, hiking, swimming, and dog park visits, and that's the short list! I like to go to the dog park too. That's where I get to hobknob with all the other older fidos. Come join us; it's lots of fun to run off-leash.

See you soon at the dog park or at All Things Dog Blog.
