© Carrie Boyko What Do Ya Think? So.....Oliver is getting primped in his Captain Jack Sparrow outfit. I already did my gig, swimming with the dolphins. I couldn't stand it. I had to try on his dreadlocks. You like? If you think I look silly, stop over at All Things Dog Blog so you can |

Photo Contest Time: It's Halloween!
by Tanner
Okay, I've got my embarrassing moment out of the way with this photo. Ya'll need to forget you saw this, please? Maybe next year I won't be wearing something sissy.
Oliver is going to be putty in mom's hands this year. She's got a totally cool, really awesome costume for him. Strangely though, it's way too big for him. She'll have to get out the seamstress tools to make it work. I'm just glad it won't fit me. Whew!
I've been instructed to let you know that All Things Dog Blog and Dogtipper are teaming up to bring you a great costume contest. I guess my dolphin is out of the ocean now, but Oliver's costume is still a secret. (Did you get my joke?) Let's hope he can hang on to it long enough for a photo.
More on that photo contest: They've got prizes for dogs and dog-lovers, Terra Paws treats, flashlights and more. The best part is after the independent judges pick the finalists, you guys get to vote on the winners. Check it out over at All Things Dog Blog or Dogtipper. And dude, please come up with a costume that is not so lame as mine, okay?

Canine Angels help with Holiday Events
(c) Carrie Boyko Tanner and Oliver Guard the Goodie Bag |
After that, she dressed us up in Angel Wings and we had to completely change our attitudes. Boy was that confusing. First she tells us to be tough and macho; then we have to be sweet and Angelic.
Do you want to see our pictures as Angels? Check us out at All Things Dog Blog. We tried to be as sweet as possible. Maybe if we could have had some candy we would have been sweeter. Too late now.
Oh well; such is the life of an All Things Dog Blog dog. We're not complaining; we got treats for doing all the photos.
Now, what's really important is that you visit there and check out who the winner of the costume contest is. Getalong little doggies....

Diets for Dogs? Oh no!
by Tanner
Well, I suppose the tape measure will be coming out soon and mom will be watching our waistlines. Poor Oliver. He's so small that there isn't much chance of him getting a full bowl of chow. As much as we enjoy a green bean, carrot, apple or banana as a treat, we're not looking forward to a daily diet of them.
Mom says as long as we continue to exercise regularly, we can stay on our usual food regimen. Whew! Dr. Pat's diet is okay for a Chihuahua, but I'm a big 70-lb. Golden Retriever that needs a sizable amount of calories for all my fetching, running, swimming, dog parking, long walks and even the visits to the pet store. I used to be really skinny when I was a pup, but I've finally reached my goal weight--sounds fancy huh. That's what doc calls 70 lbs., so I guess it's good.
I don't want to give up a scoop of chow if she's worried about my Halloween costume fitting me. Oh, that reminds me, we do need to get that ready, huh? Oliver and I are going to dress up in honor of Xena. Can you guess what we're going to be? Watch for photos here on Friday, so you can see our tribute to our favorite girl. See ya soon!
