#SuperDogPics RSVP is Just the Beginning!

My Mom and our friend Paris, Tiki and Irie's mom, are at it again. Through their Event Barkers partnership, they're rolling with Super Dog Sunday™, a charity pet photo contest to help our friends at Petfinder Foundation, who support Petfinder and helped us adopt Xena, Patches and Robby. It's a family thing, ya know.

To help our readers get ideas for their Super Dog Sunday photo entries, Mom and Paris have cooked up a Twitter Party called #SuperDogPics. I've been snoozing through most of the details but what I managed to pick up is that you can win loads of cool prizes like the stuff in the photo collage above (this is some of the stuff you'll win just for RSVPing below), and they'll be giving bunches of ideas for theming your photos at the party.

Mom says there is going to be a live artist's illustration going on during the party and we'll have @LifeandDog with us again to answer your photography questions. I also learned that I'll be needed to Tweet again. Better warm up that laptop and practice up my Tweeting skills.

The picture contest is designed for football-themed photos and you can also enter Petfinder adoptable pets. It's easy to help promote a pet who needs a furever home by decking it out with a football theme and sending it in for the contest to EventBarkers@gmail.com. Mom says it's really really important to send the profile page url along with the pet's picture, his name, and the area he's located in. That information will help get more pets adopted. That's good, right?

Now for the instructions; RSVP below by following the guide I've created, and be sure to use the hashtag #SuperDogPics when you Tweet. If you're unsure about your RSVP, please include an email address so we can reach you to clarify your registration. In order to win prizes at #SuperDogPics, you'll need to RSVP. What's more, there will be a prize just for one of the lucky Tweeps on the RSVP list, so don't be left out :)

Follow this RSVP Guide:

Below the numbered list at the bottom is a blue link that says "Click here to enter". Click this and follow these instructions, using the image above as a guide. In the field that says "Link Title or Blog Title" just enter your Twitter handle.  Notice I entered @EventBarkers. In the second field that says "Link" you'll enter the link to your Twitter account. It will look like this: "http://twitter.com/yourhandlehere". 

You can leave your email address and name in the next two fields, if you wish. This will help us reach you if your Twitter handle is listed wrong and you win a prize. We'll need to get in touch! Now click "Enter your link" and that's it. You have completed your RSVP. See you on January 20 prior to the 4 PM ET party opening.

Our First Chilly Day

As silly as I may look in these pj's that have legs on them and everything, I have discovered that they are quite cozy on a chilly day. Today we awoke to 42 degrees, something that happens rarely here. I have to admit these new jammies I got from our friends at Petco really are pretty nifty. What do you think?

Mom has us on guard duty today. We're not sure if we're guarding our new P.L.A.Y. bed or the front door. We're trying to put on our best tough-guy looks. How are we doing?

Time for a Heart-to-Heart

Dear Mom:

Lately Oliver is getting most of the attention over at All Things Dog Blog. I know I'm not the chosen one that gets to go to Blogpaws, but I'm still important. Maybe I could go next year? I'd like to be the one who's packing and being fussed over. And of course you won't need a rolling carrier for me. I can walk through the airport just fine. Airplanes? No problem. I'm fearless. Just let me rest my head on your lap and we'll be there in a jiffy.

On to another matter. I think I'm pulling more than my weight in the modeling and photo shoot stuff lately, even though Oliver is doing all the Blogpaws posts. What gives? I haven't seen him doing any pool-slaying of floating toys or fetching of flying discs. At least I can do stuff that isn't just about STAY. I'm also much more help in the kitchen with KP.

5 Years Old Today!

I can hardly believe that my big brother is 5 today. I'm pretty sure I'll never be that OLD. Let's see; I'm, um, 3 I think. Yeah. That still sounds young, right? It must be cuz mom always calls me the "kid".

So, you're probably wondering how we celebrated, huh? The usual stuff that Tanner thinks is fun: dog park and swimming. I had fun too, but no wet stuff for me. I swam last week when mom said it was time for my regular "reminder" of where the shallow step is. One of these days she'll realize I'll never forget, right?

Oliver's all packed for Blogpaws and I have to stay home. Now does that seem fair to you? I'd like to go meet Toki and Snotface and Judy....and all the other Anipals that mom got to meet last year. Maybe Delta will sponsor me for a seat on the plane? I Can wear my Super Bowl hat and tell the pilots about SuperDog Sunday. They'll totally want to join in the fun, right?

Sometime This Week, Tanner!
It's Hot Out Here

You just can't get good help these days. My Twitter account is hopping with invites from the ladies and mom says I'm not allowed to play on Twitter. She has given me a list of things to do and has me wearing a tie, for goodness sakes. I like the bandana idea better, but she says that's for casual wear, not "Office Casual". Isn't this supposed to be "Casual Friday?" It's too much for me to digest. Maybe that latte will help, if it ever arrives. Tanner!

You'll find my Weekly preview on All Things Dog Blog on Sunday, I think. It's impeccably written, if I do say so myself. Keep in mind, though, I don't have opposable thumbs, so my typing may be a bit creative. Hope you and your dog had a great "Take Your Dog to Work Day." I loved my Twitter time with the ladies, even if mom did scold me for it. **Snicker**

"Mama's Baby"

Mom has Tanner and I working quite hard these days, checking in shipments and making sure we get our incoming product reviews organized. Today at All Things Dog Blog she had the nerve to post a picture of me sleeping on the job. How embarrassing! She'd fall asleep too if she were working this hard, but instead she's making us do all the work.


At least she managed to show off how Tanner and I are doing a great job supervising the deliveries. Somebody has to make sure they're all correct. We love taking inventory!


Even better, sometimes the packages are for US. Like my new bandana? It came all the way from the Netherlands from one of our readers, Miss Niki. She's so sweet; I'd like to kiss her, but she's too far away. :(  


Miss Niki sent Tanner a bandana too. Mama took a picture of him wearing it so I'm sure you'll see it shortly. Meantime, if you want to win any of mom's great upcoming prizes, you'd better get over to All Things Dog Blog and subscribe--QUICK!

We just found a photo of our cousin, Jacque. He's our gram's Papillon. I love Jacque and we are great playmates. It was fun to find this picture of him wearing my jacket because he wouldn't fit in it any longer. He's much bigger than me.

We Clean Up Good, huh?

Today we're celebrating being 'memetastic'. Does anyone know what that means? Mom's All Things Dog Blog won a Memetastic Award, and we got to walk the red carpet to receive it.  She also gets to pass it along to some new winners, so be sure to stop over there and see who won. I love it when Mom happens upon a sale. This time I lucked up and got myself a Very Hungry Caterpillar! Isn't he great? She bought him from a charity drive, so the money went to a good cause. Who knew caterpillars had good causes?
