Let's Go!

Concentrate.
I Have a Big Job Today
There's nothing like it. When I get outside I'm a new dog. I love the smells, sounds, sights and people I meet no matter where we go. Heading for Starbucks? No problem! Want to hike to Grandma's house; I'm in. Just don't leave me home to be bored and lonely. I need excitement too.

Even the stimulation of having to concentrate more when I carry the backpack is big fun for me. Ever heard of the concept called FLOW? I'm in the FLOW when I carry the backpack. I have to focus on walking smoothly, so the backpack doesn't sway. I like it to stay still and snug against my body. And when we arrive, I love the feeling of knowing I contributed. Mom always makes sure to thank me for helping. I love my walks!

Mom wrote an article on her blog today about different ways to give us dogs a new experience when we go out for a walk. We enjoy trying out new things, new places, new sights and smells. Hope you read it and try some with your pup. Enjoy!

I Lost? When? Where? How?

I Can't Face the Camera
I guess the title of this post should be "I fought the ball and the ball won". I'm so embarrassed. I tried for 30 minutes to get the green ball out of the middle of the purple ball, but gosh-golly, I just couldn't. I challenge you to try it.....be sure to let me know the secret!

Mom is further embarrassing me by talking about it over at All Things Dog Blog, and to top that off she has guest-posted a slideshow of my drama on Dogtipper

I'm going to have to set some ground rules about these photo sessions, I guess. Or maybe I'll just eat the camera. Yeah!

How to Make a Dog Dizzy

Dreary Days....Different Ways
Tanner is making a fool of himself, chasing that silly blue ball all over the house. It jumps, changes directions and circles at will, assuring that he never quite knows what it will do next.

Mom winked at me when she gave it to him, and she's gotten a good laugh out of his confusion. Soon he'll be flat on the floor, too pooped to worry with the goofy toy any longer. Maybe Mom will give it to Oliver next?

I have to admit it is keeping him quite well occupied. I think that was her goal. Afterwards, she'll retreat with her camera, to the computer to write about his silliness. Poor Tanner! I guess it will be his turn to be embarrassed, since he hasn't managed to control the jumpy, wiggly ball. Better him than me!
