Gamma2 Goes to Blogpaws with Oliver: No?!

by Oliver
© AllThingsDogBlog.com
Me and My Gamma2
Ready for Blogpaws
I'm not a happy camper right now. I just got this super cool new TRAVEL-tainer by Gamma2 and a Vittles Vault Jr. to carry along extra food since I eat sooooo much (NOT!). But now I've learned that I'm not going to Blogpaws. Here I dusted off my carrier, tested it out, and.....bad news.

Humph! The only good part is that Tanner doesn't get to go in my place. He'd be fetching half the food off the  buffet and engaging all the other dogs in tag games. Talk about a dogpark showoff!

Speaking of showoffs, Sunday my mom and the mom over at Dogtipper (Tiki and Irie's mom) will be having another Twitter Party, this time for Gamma2. Mom has been having fun teaching Twitter 101 to the Gamma2 folks, sharing their Gamma2 G-Men video with half the Internet, and well, Grandma's move made for quite the exciting week. Here adopted Papillon is NOT my cousin, but for some reason my mom calls him the Cousin. Go figure!

Anyway, I wanted to share the fun G-men video and make sure you all remember to RSVP for the #Gamma2Fresh Twitter Party so you can win patented, airtight food containers for your Woof and Meow. See you there!

Pet Travel Feeding Solutions

by Oliver

Tanner Shows Off the TRAVEL-tainer

First off, I didn't make up that title. Tanner was in charge of titles today, and pictures too. He picked one of himself :(   It's really, really boring, but the post is bunches better; I wrote the post :). Keep reading...When this news flash came by me I just had to scoop it up before Tanner got wind of it. The new TRAVEL-tainer that Mom has sitting on her desk right now has bowls that hold a whole quart of food. Yeow! I'm loving that idea since I get way less than that at my usual chowtime.

I have not quite figured it all out. I know Tanner is bigger than me. But I do weigh 10 lbs. That seems like enough to be fed a reasonable ration, but no, I get tiny nibbles of kibble in my diminutive bowl. And then Mom has the gall to call me her pocket pup. Doesn't she know that makes me feel so, so, small? :(

So I'm going to figure out a way to hide that TRAVEL-tainer and make sure it's mine. When we go on our next camping trip I've got dibs on it. Done! Tanner will get to eat out of the grocery store plastic bowl that's barely big enough for a mouse. So there!

FYI, if you want to nab one of these cool travel containers, you need to be at #Gamma2Fresh, Mom's Twitter Party on June 10. She's hosting for the Gamma2 company along with Paris, her Event Barkers buddy. They apparently have a whole pile of Gamma2 food containers to give away, but I've yet to figure out where she's hiding them. Maybe I'll go check the garage. Wish me luck. See you on June 10. I'll be tweeting @5MinutesforFido. Go RSVP right now so you can get in on the prizes.

My bad! I should tell you about the extra chances to win. Besides the RSVP drawing, you can PreTweet to win, and there's a Rafflecopter thingy you can enter on too. Good luck with that; I'm not too sure if it will take off flying or what. Let me know if you figure it out.

Wordless Wednesday
Shows Off Oliver's PJ's

by Oliver
© Carrie Boyko
Our First Chilly Day
As silly as I may look in these pj's that have legs on them and everything, I have discovered that they are quite cozy on a chilly day. Today we awoke to 42 degrees, something that happens rarely here. I have to admit these new jammies I got from our friends at Petco really are pretty nifty. What do you think?

You'll find another shot of me in them at All Things Dog Blog. Somehow their Woofing Wednesday link up got fowled up and mom put the wrong link in--oops!

by Oliver

What? No Santa at
Fido's Freebie Friday!
I've been a good sport wearing this silly outfit and now I find out that there won't be a Santa at Fido's Freebie Friday over at All Things Dog Blog today.....or tomorrow! That's just awful. Okay, so there are some great prizes and it's not terribly busy this week so people who enter have a better chance of winning, but still. No Santa!

Tips for Tug-of-War Wannabes

by Tanner
© Carrie Boyko
Yup! She Had to Wave the White Flag
Every now and then I have the duty of teaching a newbie the greatest dog game ever--Tug of War! This is Lauren. She's really a rookie, so I had some fun showing her than nobody beats Tanner at Tug. Well maybe Dad, but he doesn't really count because he's way bigger than me.

Here's my tips for winning Tug of War to all you dogs out there. Please make sure this article stays safely in dogdom. We don't need the humans knowing our tricks of the trade.

  • Invite your house guest to play by laying the toy in their lap. Rarely do they not understand this kickoff maneuver.
  • Start out pulling gently to give the impression you'll be a pushover. This will tease your opponent into believing this will be an easy win.
  • Let them think they are winning for while.
  • Make sure to start out with a really good grip. Grasp the toy with your back teeth to assure the strongest part of your jaw is doing the work.
  • Next, put your body weight into the game and start to back up.
  • To get the game cranking, offer a good shake.
  • Change directions. Pull up. Pull down. Pull back and occasionally lunge forward and then surprise your opponent with an unsuspected move in any direction.
  • Sound tough. Let out a guttural growl.
  • If you're up against a worthy competitor, try this tactic: Pretend to give up. Stop pulling, while keeping the toy in your mouth, and walk toward your opponent. Suddenly jerk the toy as you back up quickly. This usually does the trick for me.
  • Conditioning will be your friend. If you're out of shape, you're sure to lose. Drop on over to K9 Kamp at Peggy's Pet Place and Kol's Notes to get some more tips on shaping up for games like Tug.
Be sure to stop over at All Things Dog Blog where my mom is sharing our weekly report on K9 Kamp training. I definitely have more points than she does this week. Does that mean I win a prize?

Teamwork Guard Dogs: Do We Look Vicious?

by Tanner and Oliver
(c) Carrie Boyko
Do We Look Rough and Tough?
Mom has us on guard duty today. We're not sure if we're guarding our new P.L.A.Y. bed or the front door. We're trying to put on our best tough-guy looks. How are we doing?

Oliver says he's definitely more ferocious looking. After all, have you seen the picture of Tanner over at All Things Dog Blog today? It's absolutely pussy-cat! Be sure to check it out. Meanwhile, Oliver will be sure to keep things safe here, tough guy that he is!

Happy Birthday Tanner! You're 5 Now.

by Oliver
© Carrie Boyko
5 Years Old Today!
I can hardly believe that my big brother is 5 today. I'm pretty sure I'll never be that OLD. Let's see; I'm, um, 3 I think. Yeah. That still sounds young, right? It must be cuz mom always calls me the "kid".

So, you're probably wondering how we celebrated, huh? The usual stuff that Tanner thinks is fun: dog park and swimming. I had fun too, but no wet stuff for me. I swam last week when mom said it was time for my regular "reminder" of where the shallow step is. One of these days she'll realize I'll never forget, right?

No Fetch for Oliver

by Oliver

Interested Oliver
Keeps His Distance
So Mom is outside, once again, doing water stuff with Tanner. She always invites me to participate, but this sort of activity doesn't float my boat, if you know what I mean. I'm a great swimmer, but it's not my thing.

The bad part about this is that I get left out when Mom has water toys to review. Like today. Over at All Things Dog Blog, she's got a fetch toy review of  Floatimals, by Petmate, going on. Tanner is having a really great time playing with his new Floatimal. But me? I don't want any part of the water. Mom and Tanner are also giving away some Floatimals to you guys, so if you're interested in a new water toy, now's the time to head on over to All Things Dog Blog. Good luck.

Dogs Unleashed Finds Another Model

by Oliver
© Carrie Boyko
I'm Guarding the Goodies
for Dogs Unleashed

Mom and Tanner have been taking the longest bath in history today while Dad sat snapping away with the picture box. I got left inside. Can you believe it?

I gave mom one of my looks when she came inside and so she patronized me by snapping a couple of pictures of me with the prizes. Hmmm....It's not the same as being the featured model.

She's giving away a bunch of nice bath stuff--towels, aprons, bath mitts, sponges for cleanup, and a cool tote bag that has a great saying on it. You should check out the giveaway over at All Things Dog Blog. Why miss out on stuff this neat?

Oliver Investigates Petstages' Mini Nesting Mat

by Oliver

This is my new soothing bedding. It's called a Petstages Mini Nesting Mat and it's made especially for dogs like me to root around in, digging and rearranging. I love redecorating my bedding, and this is the perfect thing for that.  Mom has written a review over at All Things Dog Blog, but this is my personal, private show...just for you.

I guess I should tell you that she's giving some of these neato cushy blanket thingys away over at her blog. I just have cool pictures. That's okay too, right? Hope you win!

If you don't get to be one of the winners, you can order your Mini Nesting Mat through the Amazon ad at this link or on All Things Dog Blog. The product is also being sold through many pet specialty stores, so be sure to ask for it by name. Happy Nesting!

Full disclosure: All Things Dog Blog has been provided with a free sample to do this review of the Petstages Mini Nesting Mat. We have not been paid to provide our opinion of this product, and the opinion provided is our own.

Can I Go to Blogpaws Too?
Oliver's all packed for Blogpaws and I have to stay home. Now does that seem fair to you? I'd like to go meet Toki and Snotface and Judy....and all the other Anipals that mom got to meet last year. Maybe Delta will sponsor me for a seat on the plane? I Can wear my Super Bowl hat and tell the pilots about SuperDog Sunday. They'll totally want to join in the fun, right?

Jolly Pets Hat and Tshirt Awarded

by Tanner
© Carrie Boyko
Hats for Dogs? Hmmm....
Anybody remember this photo from the Super Dog Sunday Blog Hop? I had a ton of fun taking photos in all sorts of football themes. We're planning on making that an annual event. Hope you'll join us this year.

Speaking of Super Dog Sunday, my mom has footballs for all of you that are attending Blogpaws. Some of the pup moms and dads that didn't get to participate last year said it was because they did not have a football-themed item for a photo. So we're gonna help this year.

We have cool footballs to give away for your photo. Oliver will be showing them off on Wednesday at Wordless Wednesday. You can check him out on All Things Dog Blog Wednesday.

Now for the big announcement. We've taken entries for a free hat and Tshirt from our friends at Jolly Pets. Watch for more reviews of their products coming soon. Today's winner is Kirby. To collect your prize, Kirby needs to send his shipping address to AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com. We can't wait to see a picture of Kirby in his cool hat.

Speaking of free stuff, have you been over to Fido's Freebie Friday for the giveaway linky? There's bunch of giveaways listed there--all sorts of great stuff for the Bow Wow buddy in your life. Go shopping!

Tanner...A Latte Please. Make it Iced.

by Oliver
© Carrie Boyko
Sometime This Week, Tanner!
It's Hot Out Here
You just can't get good help these days. My Twitter account is hopping with invites from the ladies and mom says I'm not allowed to play on Twitter. She has given me a list of things to do and has me wearing a tie, for goodness sakes. I like the bandana idea better, but she says that's for casual wear, not "Office Casual". Isn't this supposed to be "Casual Friday?" It's too much for me to digest. Maybe that latte will help, if it ever arrives. Tanner!

You'll find my Weekly preview on All Things Dog Blog on Sunday, I think. It's impeccably written, if I do say so myself. Keep in mind, though, I don't have opposable thumbs, so my typing may be a bit creative. Hope you and your dog had a great "Take Your Dog to Work Day." I loved my Twitter time with the ladies, even if mom did scold me for it. **Snicker**

Who Knew? Toys for Zoo Animals!

by Oliver and Tanner
(c) Carrie Boyko
Love the Pup on the Hat!
Imagine our surprise when we opened the package and found a horse Tshirt inside!!! The hat has an adorable pup embroidered on it. No, it doesn't look like Oliver OR Tanner, but it's cute.

Turns out that Jolly Pets makes toys for Zoo animals and horses. Who knew? We read through the brochure and were shocked to find toys for Tigers and all sorts of zoo animals that need to have entertainment just like us pups. Learn something new every day.

Well, we've delivered on our promise to post a photo of the hat and Tshirt here. You can read up on how to win them at this post.

We Love Pup Playtime!

by Tanner and Oliver
© Carrie Boyko
Toni Plays with Oliver and Tanner
Our mom has been busy playing 'blogging' all day. She says she has started Fido's Freebie Friday for bloggers to list their giveaways in a Blog Hop. Sounds like fun, huh?

Tanner and I want to play too. Mom says we can give away anything she doesn't have to review, so we just dug through the goodies and found a Jolly Pets hat and Tshirt. It's really cute, with an embroidered pup on the hat, and perfect for playtime with your pack. Want to win? You can leave a comment here to enter. Be sure to leave us a way to contact you if you're the big lucky winner.

How will you know you won? We'll draw a winner from the comment-entries one week from tonight. Entries close at 5 PM on Thursday, June 23rd. We'll announce the winner on Friday, June 24th. We're so excited to get into the prize-giving gig. What fun! Want to see a picture of the hat? Watch for that coming tomorrow or this weekend. Stay tuned; the camera man is off duty today. :(

We'll list this giveaway here and on All Things Dog Blog's Fido's Freebie Friday, where there are lots of cool giveaways for pet lovers. You might find something neato there, so check it out. See ya soon.

Like My Shades?

by Tanner
(c) Carrie Boyko
They're Toni's Sunglasses

Why is everyone laughing at me? I borrowed them from Toni.  ???

I wore these cool shades to the photo shoot for the All Things Dog Blog Treat Review Team. They all thought I looked totally cool. What's wrong?

All Things Dog Blog's Weekly Preview

by Tanner
© Carrie Boyko
Tanner Loves his  Birdhouse
Oliver is napping after a particularly long photo session this morning. He's exhausted from trying to get the treat out of a new bone he's testing from the nice folks at Safe Made Pet. They make cool toys out of silicone that is guaranteed to be safe for kids and pets to play with. Now that's a new concept. We'll be reviewing them for you soon at All Things Dog Blog.

This week you'll be entertained by a singing puppy, offered assistance for a fearful dog by one of our trainers, have a chance to enter a dog-themed handbag giveaway, get a new recipe for pup biscuits and find out who won the Hol-ee Roller giveaway. And that's just the highlights. There's much more, but I'm way too busy with my birdhouse toy to read the whole schedule.

Hope you enjoy some surprises as we venture into more fun over at All Things Dog Blog.
